Links of the Week - EXTREEM EDITION

First, there was this - Ski-skimming down the Eiger,

Then there was this - Crazy Squirrel suit base jumping,

But now there is a totally NEW way to kill yourself - I wonder how thick your wetsuit needs to be for THIS!

And then the opposite - I guess he burned his feet pretty bad while doing THIS...

New round of small cars -

The Toyota IQ

The Topolino

The VW Vortex

The VW SpaceUp

Too bad most of these will never make it to the US...

A couple of graphics -

First, the countries still using the imperial system rather than the metric,

And then there is this - which requires little explanation.

With So Many Light Years to Go...

I was in danger of getting this song out of my head, so I thought I would make it IMPOSSIBLE for me to not hum this for a couple of hours. Road trips with Earworms....

A Friday Morning full of WTF?!?!??

Are you THIRSTY? Are you a MAN???!!??

I found this the other night - I swear it is the best David Lynch film he ever forgot to make. You need to stick with it through at least minute 3. Relates (barely) to the RickRoll (do a search). I have watched this 400 TIMES

ARE YOU STILL THIRSTY!?!?!?

(That last one made me cry laughing...)

If you want something done right...

After bemoaning the price and the boring nature of bathroom hardware out there, I decided to give it a shot on my own (with the aid of home depot). And taking design cues from Bob's great muffler stand (that now lives in the bathroom) here are my easy Steampunk Bath Fixtures!

Here is an overall shot:

The toothbrush holder/TP holder/bud vase:

The towel rack and shelf:

The hand towel bar and soap dish

and a double robe hook:

Now we just need some sort of cabinet (I have been considering modifying a diamond-plate toolbox) and some art (think robots..) to finish it off...
